We had ASCAR carry out a number of activities on our sailing boat, including the installation of a bow thruster, a new water tank, a custom-made bimini and the installation of a swimming platform. These activities were carried out excellently by very friendly and professional staff. We can therefore heartily recommend this company!

TOP NOTCH SHIPYARD! This is where you want to bring your ship, whatever refit you are considering. We initially went in for antifouling and some minor projects, but our ship –bought in March - hadn't visited a drydock for about 3 years. We indeed found out that we had to undergo some structural refurbishment that compromised our safety and felt quite worried about it as we live on board. The whole ASCAR team was absolutely brilliant, efficient, and truly professional and empathic. We were allowed to still live on-board while there, and they treated us with utmost respect and friendliness. They offer a comprehensive service, so they meet any need that arises (we even had our Raymarine autopilot serviced there as they are representatives), and prices are affordable and reasonable. Wir sind wegen Korrosion am Ruderschaft ( Alumunium) zu Ascar gefahren. Dort wurde das Ruder professionell ausgebaut, ein neuer Ruderschaft angefertigt und an das alte Ruderblatt angeschweißt. Weil wir uns dort in guten Händen fühlten, haben wir auch unseren Bugspriet überarbeiten und neu anschweißen lassen. Tolle Arbeit - faire Preise! Wir würden jederzeit wieder dorthin fahren. If you need work done, this is the place. Ask for Adolfo and he will make it happen. We were there for 2 weeks and met a lot off different technicians, each with their own specialty. They were all friendly, helpful and very professional. They work good and fast. We didn't sleep on the yard because we have a dog but they have good facilities if you want to stay. We are very happy with the work. We can recommend this place more than 💯 %

We had a lot of work done on a boat we purchased in July. To start, we upgraded our batteries to LiFePo for our Ocean Twins 38, along with a new solar panel and the components necessary to monitor and keep them properly charged. The electricians were very efficient and performed a clean install on Victron components. The price was very reasonable. We also had the hull sandblasted, through-hulls replaced, the hull faired smooth and epoxy coats added with new antifouling applied, as well as some new graphics applied and deadlights resealed. All of the issues I had prior to showing up have now gone away, and we are finally ready to set sail! The prices stayed pretty true to the quote, and I am very happy with the price and the work. If I have issues I can't solve myself when headed west again, I will definitely be back.

We quite spontaneously decided to stop over at Ascar and get some significant jobs crossed off our list and are really glad we did so. From a careful sandblasting of our hull, new primer layers, and antifoul, replacement of all sea cocks and skin fittings… The good communication, the solution oriented, pro and friendly team did a great job. The possibility to stay living onboard, have bathrooms available was super helpful. Can only recommend.
